Special Educational Needs
At Woodlands Park Nursery School & Children’s Centre and Rowland Hill Nursery School & Children’s Centre, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment in which every child is welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive.
Our Beliefs & Ethos
-
We believe every child is unique and deserves a tailored approach to learning, development, and care.
-
Inclusion is at the heart of our practice: children with differing needs learn together, benefit from diversity, and enrich one another’s experiences.
-
Our aim is to ensure accessibility, equity, and the highest possible outcomes for all children, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
How We Support Children & Families
-
We plan carefully for each child’s needs, adjusting provision so all can access learning and develop.
-
We work in close partnership with parents and carers to make each child’s experience meaningful, enjoyable, and effective.
-
We draw on a network of internal and external specialist services (health, local authority, therapists, etc.) to support children’s progress.

Legal & Local Support
-
We follow the Haringey Local Offer, which outlines available services, support and guidance for children with SEND in the borough.
-
We publish our Accessibility Plans, SEND Policies and Information Reports for transparency and accountability.
-
We also provide help for families during transitions (e.g. moving to primary school) and advocate for strategies that ease those changes. Click to find out more information from Haringey Council.
